Guatemala: CONRED Members Fill Helicopter Bucket to Aid Firefighting Efforts

In a compelling demonstration of solidarity and proactive engagement, eight members of CONRED (National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction) have stepped forward to support firefighting operations in Zacapa, Guatemala. A video, published on April 25th by the National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction of Guatemala, captures the dedicated efforts of these individuals as they fill water from a hose into a helicopter bucket, contributing to the ongoing battle against the forest fire ravaging the Santa Rosalia de Marmol village in Rio Hondo municipality, Zacapa.
Their involvement adds to the concerted efforts led by GuatemalaContraElFuego, which has conducted 23 aerial water drops comprising 110 gallons of water and 500 ml of retardant liquid. As a result of these collaborative endeavors, today's airborne firefighting operations have successfully concluded.
