UK: Exciting mRNA jab for melanoma being tested in British patients
UK - April 25, 2024
The world's first mRNA jab to cure melanoma - which also has the potential to stop lung, bladder and kidney cancer - is being tested in British patients.
The anti-cancer jab is custom-built for each person in as little as eight weeks and works by telling the body to make proteins to prevent deadly skin cancer coming back.
A stage 2 trial of the jab has shown promising results and now a final-stage phase 3 trial has launched, led by University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH).
