Cicadas have begun to hatch in South Carolina, U.S. Residents complain of considerable noise
Cicadas have begun emerging from their underground lives and caused quite a considerable amount of noise, prompting South Carolina residents to complain to police on Tuesday, April 23.
2024 is a special year for the bugs as two types of periodical broods, the 13-year Brood XIX cicadas in the Southeast and the 17-year Brood XIII in the Midwest, will emerge from the ground.
