Shibuya Scramble Crossing
April 12, 2014, Tokyo, Japan - Shibuya, one of Tokyo's bustling shopping and entertainment districts, is known for its pedestrian crossing system, Shibuya Scramble that stops all vehicular traffic and allows pedestrians to cross in every direction, including diagonally, at the same time. Five streets meet in front of Shibuya railroad station, forming the Barnes Dance, where at the gurn of traffic lights, pedestrians inundate the intersection from all directions.
