LINE Announces New Service
Providing Payment Functions, etc.
LINE, which develops free communication applications for smartphones, held the "LINE CONFERENCE TOKYO 2014," a business strategy presentation event, on September 9. In addition to the payment service "LINE Pay" and cab dispatch service "LINE TAXI," LINE aims to become a comprehensive platform used in daily life by developing a wide range of services, such as "LINE Manga" in collaboration with Kodansha and Shogakukan, and the announcement of joint venture companies with Avex and Sony Music.
