Hokkaido Shinkansen "H5 Series Nickname and interior of the train car unveiled
JR Hokkaido announced the nickname and symbol mark for the H5 Series, the Hokkaido Shinkansen train that will start service between Shin-Aomori and Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto in March 2016. Adopting the same nickname as the Tohoku Shinkansen, the new train will be called "Hayabusa" between Tokyo/Sendai and Shin-Hakodate Hokuto, and "Hayate" between Morioka/Shin-Aomori and Shin-Hakodate Hokuto, on the afternoon of November 20, 2014, at the Hakodate General Rolling Stock Yard in Nanae-machi, Hokkaido.
