The first two volumes of the biography of Japanese Emperor Hirohito (posthumously referred to as Emperor Showa) go on sale at Yaesu Bookstore in Tokyo on March 27th, 2015. The complete set of annals biography covering the Emperor's life from 1901 to 1989 extends to 18 volumes plus a separate index and is the longest of all Emperor annals. The books took 24 years to complete. Volume One covers his life from 0-12 years old and Volume Two from 13-19 years old. Further volumes will be published every six months and readers will have to wait until 2019 for the final books in the series. (Photo by AFLO)
On March 27, the official publication of the "Showa Emperor Jitsuroku," a book on the life of Emperor Showa, went on sale at bookstores nationwide on the afternoon of March 27, 2015 at Yaesu Book Center in Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
