Women Cross DMZ Group, May 24, 2015 : U.S. activist Gloria Steinem (6th R, second row), Nobel Peace Prize laureates Mairead Maguire (2nd R, second row) from Northern Ireland and Leymah Gbowee (3rd R, second row) from Liberia, walk with other activists toward the Imjingak Pavilion from the Unification Bridge along the military fences near the demilitarized zone (DMZ) separating the two Koreas, in Paju, north of Seoul, South Korea. About 30 women activists from around the world crossed the DMZ from North Korea to South Korea on Sunday by bus through the western land route instead of their original plan to walk through the truce village of Panmunjom by accepting Seoul's recommendation, to mark the International Women's Day for Disarmament.
