Criticized for handling of crocodiles
PETA protests against Hermes
Body painted models from PETA (the People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals organization) pose as slaughtered crocodiles in front of the luxury Hermes store in the upscale Ginza shopping district on July 30th, 2015 in Tokyo, Japan. PETA claims that Hermes bags and accessories use crocodiles and alligators that are kept in poor conditions and still conscious when being cut open. Japan is a big market for Hermes and luxury brands with many Asian tourists and Japanese visiting Ginza for shopping. (Photo by Rodrigo Reyes Marin/AFLO)
