The Evolution of the "Black Burger" Available this year from Barkin
Burger King's new black burger ''Kuro Shogun'' went on sale on August 21, 2015, Tokyo, Japan. The chain's two new black burgers use bamboo charcoal-infused buns and cheese, Black Hashed Sauce (a mix of red wine, squid ink, onions, tomato and crushed garlic), and slices of grilled eggplant. In July Burger King launched two red burgers in another Japan only colored burgers promotion. The two new black burgers are the Kuro Shogun costing 690 JPY (5.59 USD) and the Kuro Taisho costing 590 JPY (4.78 USD).
