In May hackers who tapped into the pension system stole personal data for 1.25 million people with a classic ploy called a ''targeted email attack'' disguised as a health ministry document. According to the JPS, a total of 124 targeted e-mails carrying a virus from May 8 to 20 were opened, causing 31 computers to be infected and the leak of the personal data of 1.25 million people.
