Security Bill, the offensive and defense are at a standstill
Daily demonstrations in front of the Diet
Demonstrators protest outside the National Parliament as the Abe government plans to vote controversial security bills into law on September 18, 2015, in Tokyo, Japan. As the opposition parties struggle to delay government sponsored security legislation that could potentially allow Japanese troops to fight overseas, protesters gathered outside the Japanese Diet to make their opposition clear. Despite public opposition the ruling Liberal Democratic Party and its coalition partner aim to pass the bills today, before 5 days of Public Holidays that some fear cold see even larger demonstrations.
