Stop "Walking Smartphone" at Railway Stations
JR East and cell phone companies call for

JR East Japan Railway Company has launched a campaign against the use of smart phones in stations whilst walking in collaboration with Japan's major mobile phone carriers. The campaign includes posters about the dangers of using mobiles devices whilst walking, and the campaign's message ''Let's stop using our smartphones while walking'' also has been printed on to toilet paper inside public restrooms at some of Tokyo's busiest stations. JR regularly tries to improve commuter manners with campaigns against talking on the phone whilst travelling and and not rushing to get onto the train. It is rare though that the message even gets printed onto the station toilet paper. (Photo by Rodrigo Reyes Marin/AFLO)
