Governor of Tokyo Test Rides Water Taxi To be introduced by 2020
On May 5, Governor Yoichi Masuzoe took a test ride in a private water cab, which will begin trial operations in the waterfront area at the end of this month. The governor boarded the water cab from Hinode Pier in Minato Ward and toured Tokyo Port and nearby canals for about 30 minutes. After the tour, he told the press, "It was a nice ride, with good maneuverability. He expressed his willingness to work on revitalizing water transportation, saying that he would like to improve connections with other modes of transportation.
