Largest Store to Close in January
December 24, 2015, Tokyo, Japan - A poster on display at the entrance of McDonald's largest store in Japan located in Harajuku, announces the closing of its branch on January 15, 2016. McDonald's is reportedly looking to sell 15% to 33% of shares of its Japanese subsidiary and gain 100 billion yen ($817 million). McDonald's Holdings Japan is expected a net loss of 38 billion yen during its fiscal year ending on December 31, after scandals of expired chicken in the summer of 2014 and contamination with foreign objects in January 2015.
