Tomabechi Gizo Tomabechi 1880-1959 Birthplace: Aomori Prefecture Politician Member of the House of Representatives (elected three times) in 1946, Member of the House of Councillors (elected once) in 1953, Minister of Transport in the Katayama Cabinet, Minister of State and Chief Cabinet Secretary in the Ashida Cabinet. In 1952, he filed a lawsuit against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (unannounced dissolution) as a violation of the Constitution, but the case was dismissed by the Supreme Court (Tomabechi case).
