Electricity Deregulation EXPO
Companies Exhibit for Retail Deregulation
An exhibitor introduces Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) services to a visitor during the 2nd Energy Market Liberalisation Expo in Tokyo Big Sight on March 2, 2016, Tokyo, Japan. Japan's electricity market will be opened up for the first time from April 2016 with new and existing suppliers allowed to compete for customers. It is hoped that deregulation will break up existing monopolies and drive down prices. The exhibition is part of World Smart Energy Week 2016 which organises various energy related shows and runs until March 4th. (Photo by Rodrigo Reyes Marin/AFLO)
