Some of the passengers were released in Fukuoka, and the remaining passengers were dropped off at Gimpo Airport in South Korea, where they took Mr. Yamamura, Parliamentary Vice Minister of Transportation, hostage and flew to Pyongyang. The nine perpetrators remained on board, and on the morning of the 5th, the Yodogo returned to Haneda.
