Wendy's Japan Acquired First Kitchen

Suntory Holdings Ltd. announced on Monday that it will sell its shares in the First-Kitchen Ltd. hamburger chain to Wendy's Japan LLC. The First-Kitchen chain, which was launched in 1977, operates some 135 outlets in the Tokyo metropolitan area and western Japan and had sales of ツ・8.7 billion ($79 million) in 2015. Wendy's plans to keep the First-Kitchen brand after the acquisition and operate joint branded restaurants.
