Gonorrhoea is a venereal (sexually-transmitted) disease. Infection is of the urethra, causing a discharge of yellow fluid. It readily spreads to surrounding tissues. If it spreads further to the blood or brain, it may be fatal. Treatment is with antibiotic drugs.
