Colombia Toshiba employee kidnapping case (August 29, 1991)
Colombian kidnapping, in front of Toshiba headquarters one night after the first report. Two Toshiba engineers were kidnapped by guerrillas believed to be revolutionary armed forces in San Carlos, Antioquia, northwestern Colombia, on January 27. On the morning of August 29, a task force headed by Kinichi Kadono, vice president of Toshiba Corporation, was set up at the headquarters, and employees were dispatched to the area.
