Wrapped in Cloth and Relaxed
Adult Maki" has become a topic of conversation.
A therapist wraps a woman in cloth during an Otonamaki (adult wrapping) therapy session on February 4, 2017, Tokyo, Japan. Otonamaki is a Japanese therapeutic method to reduce stiffness and posture problems. A participant, monitored by a health care professional is wrapped in a large piece of breathable cloth, like a sheet, to alleviate posture problems and body stiffness for about 15 to 20 minutes. The therapy comes from Ohinamaki, the practice of wrapping up babies in cloth in a similar way to give them a feeling of security and help them with their physical development.
