Crown Prince Akihito (later Emperor Akihito) Travels to Okayama, Visits the Home of His Sister Atsuko Ikeda with Princess Michiko
While in Okayama Prefecture to attend the 17th National Athletic Meet (Okayama National Athletic Meet) Summer Games, Crown Prince Akihito (later Emperor Akihito) and Crown Princess Michiko (later Empress Michiko) visited the home of his sister Atsuko Ikeda (formerly known as Atsuko Junmiya), the fourth Princess of Japan, who lived in Okayama City, and were pleased to see the Ikeda couple at the front door. From the Crown Prince to the left, Takamasa Ikeda, Director of Ikeda Zoo, Inc., the husband of Atsuko, the eldest son of a former noble (marquis) family and former lord of the Bizen Okayama domain, Crown Princess, and Atsuko Ikeda.
