Malaysia bans imports on apple Gala or Granny Smith from the US

According to local news report On Saturday, Agriculture and Agro-based Minister Ismail Sabri said the ministry had banned imports of Gala and Granny Smith apples from the United States as a precaution against possible listeriosis, the outbreak sickened 32 people from October through December, killing seven in 11 states. Listeriosis is an infection that primarily affects older adults, pregnant women, newborns and people with weakened immune symptoms.
