IWATE, JAPAN - APRIL 29 : A large wooden phallus named Konsei-sama, which is named after a fertility god, is seen in the festival grounds during the Konsei Festival “Fertility Festival” at Osawa Onsen in Hanamaki on April 29, 2018, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. Festival participants carry the Konsei-sama wooden phallus, which consists of a height of 1.4m and a weight of 150kg, to Osawa Onsen annually to wash out the dust that accumulates over a one year period, which symbolizes match making, fertility, and safe birth.
