IWATE, JAPAN - APRIL 29 : Festival participants were seen during the Konsei Festival “Fertility Festival” at Osawa Onsen in Hanamaki on April 29, 2018, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. Festival participants carry the Konsei-sama wooden phallus, which consists of a height of 1.4m and a weight of 150kg, to Osawa Onsen annually to wash out the dust that accumulates over a one year period, which symbolizes match making, fertility, and safe birth.
