Giant Ball Appears on Tokyo Tower for Rugby World Cup PR Activities
October 30, 2009, Tokyo, Japan - A giant inflatable rugby ball appears at the foot of Tokyo Tower on Friday, October 30, advertising the Rugby World Cup to be held in New Zealand in 2011. New Zealand's tourist bureau hosts verious promotion activities inside the 25-meter-long and 13-meter-high ball, which can hold up to 160 people. Using high-tech audio-visual techniques, inside the ball is a 360-degree display that covers the entire ceiling and wall, screening images of tourist attractions and rugby-related footage.
