St. Andrews Old Course
1st and 18th holes
A "sacred place" for golf, it is also the home of the R&A, the head office of the Rules. Originally a 22-hole course, it was converted to an 18-hole course in 1764 and It set the standard for subsequent courses. The 18-hole, 6721-yard, par-72 course was improved by Dow Anderson, Tom Morris Sr. and others. 18 holes, 6721 yards, par 72.
