Prince Takamado's "Burial Rites
Attending the "interment rites" for Prince Takamado (from left) are (from right to left) Hisako, Crown Princess and mourner, and her children Tsuguko, Noriko, and Ayako (with Prince Tomohito Mikasa in the back right). On this day, the main funeral ceremony of Prince Takamado, who passed away at the age of 47 on March 21, was held, with the "Reishahatsuin" ceremony in the morning, the "Funeral Site Ceremony," and the "Graveside Ceremony" in the afternoon.
