Godefroy de Bouillon. Similar in design to the King David tapestry, this shows the crusader Godefroy de Bouillon as a victorious soldier. Godefroy captured Jerusalem in 1099. The heroic stories in both tapestries are depicted in a traditional manner, which adds to their magnificence. The naturalistic details in the borders are more up to date in style. The weaver's monogram and the mark of the city of Brussels appear in the lower borders. Tapestry, between 1610-1631
