Disaster Preparedness Drill for Foreign Residents in Tokyo

Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike attends the Disaster Preparedness Drill for Foreign Residents in FY2018 at Komazawa Olympic Park General Sports Ground on January 16, 2019, Tokyo, Japan. About 263 participants (including Tokyo foreign residents and members of embassies and international organizations) were instructed how to protect themselves in case of earthquake disaster by the Tokyo Fire Department with the assistance of volunteer interpreters in English, Chinese, Spanish and French. Participants learned how to give chest compression, shelter's rules life and experienced the shaking of a major earthquake through VR technology.
