South Korea's opposition leader Lee Jae-Myung appears for questioning at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office in Seoul
Proponents of Yoon Suk-Yeol, January 28, 2023 : Proponents of South Korean President Yoon Suk-Yeol, scream abuses at chair of the main opposition Democratic Party of South Korea Lee Jae-Myung and Lee's supporters by use of high-performance sound equipment in front of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors Office as Lee appears for questioning in Seoul, South Korea. The prosecution suspects that Lee Jae-Myung, during his time as Seongnam mayor, provided preferential treatment to private companies in property development project in Seongnam, allowing them to make unfair profits. Lee released a statement on Saturday, refuting all allegations and claimed his innocence, accusing the prosecution of fabricating charges against him and abusing its power for a politically motivated probe of a former presidential election rival of South Korean President Yoon Suk-Yeol, according to local media.
